The project combines machine learning in the identification of activity patterns of a nucleus deep in the brain (subthalamic nucleus) during emotional, cognitive and motor processes
and focuses on people who undergo the implantation of a pacemaker of electrical activity in the brain (deep brain stimulation) following Parkinson's disease or following treatment-resistant obsessive-compulsive disorder. The goal of the project is to improve the way these pacemakers are activated to help patients optimally over time.
